It pains me to have to introduce this local farm to table eatery that I located. The brick walls right behind the kitchen gives off a slow Brooklyn vibe and one can easily sit here for hours observing Chef Harakawa-san and his assistant work gracefully without any slight pressure in front of customers. The food itself is rather simple, using the freshest ingredients sourced from a farm in Nagano prefecture. It is a very farm to table concept with no dishes that are overwhelming visually or in taste. One dish I very much enjoy here is a combination of figs, gorgonzola, pears, and baby leaves. I am also not the type to order small plates, but you cannot go wrong with the assorted plate that include pate, sweet juicy olives, cured ham, among others. The menu changes roughly once a month, while classic dishes remain such as the steak frites. It is certainly well worth going, but be sure to leave your entire night open for this dinner. For those looking for a more affordable option, try the brunch on Sundays.
